For use with NexHealth Payments
Send payment requests
NexHealth Payment requests let you request payment from patients who have already left the office, with automatic reminders so they don't forget. No more paper mailers or time on the phone — issue a digital request and track it to completion.
Select Send request
From the Collect payment page, once you've specified how much to collect, click Send request.
Note: Unpaid Payment requests automatically expire after 90 days. An expired request moves from the Awaiting payment tab back to the Not requested tab.
Patients automatically receive the email and text messages set in your Payments template. These link to a secure payment page where they can view a detailed digital statement (Ledger Sync only), enter card details, use Apple Pay or Google Pay, or choose Affirm.
Track open requests in the Awaiting payment tab — you'll see when each was requested and last reminded. Once paid, the request moves automatically to Transaction history.
Manage open payment requests
In the Awaiting payment tab, select Manage on any open request to take the actions below.

Mark as paid
If a patient pays outside NexHealth (for example, by cash or check), select Manage, then Mark as paid, and enter the details. This will:
Mark the payment complete in NexHealth — it appears in Transaction history and all Payments reports as Manually marked as paid.
Sync the payment to your patient ledger, or prompt the Allocate & Sync flow if the request has a custom amount (Ledger Sync only).
For more, see how to record a payment made outside NexHealth.
Cancel request
To remove an open request (incorrect, duplicate, or already paid), select Manage, then Cancel request. This deletes the request from NexHealth; it won't appear in Transaction history or reports, and won't sync to the patient's ledger (Ledger Sync only).
