For use with NexHealth Scheduling
This article shows you how to find, share, and customize your NexHealth online booking links.
Add your booking link to your website
Work with your web developer or IT professional to place online booking links on your website.
Note: Online booking links are publicly accessible to anyone with the link. NexHealth does not support restricting bookings to or blocking specific patients. If you're concerned about no-shows or problem bookings, we recommend requiring a credit card to complete a booking. This adds friction that can deter unwanted bookings and gives you the ability to charge no-show or cancellation fees per your practice's policy. See How do I customize my online booking form for setup details.
1. Go to Gear → Settings → Online booking links.
Use the gear icon at the top right to go to Settings, then find Online booking links in the left sidebar under the Scheduling section.
2. Select a link type — Basic or Conversion analytics.
You can copy the Basic link, or copy the code for the Conversion analytics button and link to track marketing efforts and booking conversion through UTM parameters. See Tracking Marketing ROI for details.
Basic link: Click Copy link.
Conversion analytics link: Select a button color from the default set, or add your own. Then click Copy code.
3. Give the link or code to your web developer.
Your web developer or IT professional inserts the code into your website. Click Share instructions for detailed directions.
4. Add the booking link to your social media accounts.
Place the link where your patients already spend time.
Facebook: Log in to your Facebook account, go to your page's cover picture, and paste the booking link in the website field. You can also add it to your bio.
Instagram: Go to your Instagram profile and select Edit Profile.
Option 1 — Paste the NexHealth booking URL directly in the Website field. See this example: Grand Street Dental
Option 2 — Add it to a Link Tree if you share multiple links. See this example: Les Belles NYC
5. Add your booking link to Google Search and Maps.
NexHealth's Reserve with Google integration can automatically add your booking link to your Google search and maps pages. Check that article for setup details.
To redirect patients back to your website after booking, contact the NexHealth support team.
Create location- or provider-specific booking links
Create targeted booking links scoped to a specific location, provider, or appointment type — useful if your website has pages for individual providers or service areas.
By default, your online booking link is institution-wide and covers all locations, providers, and appointment types in your account.
1. Go to Gear → Settings → Online booking links.
Use the gear icon at the top right to go to Settings, then find Online booking links in the left sidebar under Scheduling.
2. Select the Custom tab.
Toggle between Default and Custom links above the blue banner.
3. Use the dropdowns to specify Location(s), Provider(s), and/or Appointment type(s).
4. Copy the link or code.
Copy and share the link or code exactly as you would for the default link, then work with your web developer or IT professional to add it to your website or social media.
FAQ
Can I block a specific patient from booking online?
No. NexHealth does not support blocking individual patients from using your booking link. Anyone with the link can attempt to book. If you're concerned about no-shows or problem bookings, requiring a credit card adds friction and lets you charge fees. See How do I customize my online booking form for setup details.
