This article explains how NexHealth Payments syncs to Eaglesoft and how to control which deposit report your NexHealth payments appear on.
How NexHealth payment types work in Eaglesoft
When NexHealth Payments syncs a payment to Eaglesoft, it uses custom Payment Types to make those transactions easy to identify. Examples include "NH CC Payment" and similar types depending on the transaction. These Payment Types appear in Eaglesoft just like any other payment method your practice uses.
You can view all Payment Types in Eaglesoft by going to List > General Set-up > Payment Types.
Control which deposit report NexHealth payments appear on
Eaglesoft has two deposit reports: the Primary Deposit report and the Secondary Deposit report. Each Payment Type is assigned to one of these reports. If your NexHealth payments are appearing on the wrong report, you can change this yourself in Eaglesoft.
In Eaglesoft, go to List > General Set-up > Payment Types.
Find the NexHealth Payment Type you want to move (for example, "NH CC Payment").
Double-click the Payment Type to open its settings.
Change the deposit report assignment from Primary to Secondary (or vice versa).
Save your changes.
Repeat this for each NexHealth Payment Type you want to reassign.
Make sure your report dates match
NexHealth reports treat midnight as the end of the business day. If your Eaglesoft "End of Period" time is set to anything other than midnight, your NexHealth and Eaglesoft reports may not align on the same transactions.
To fix this, enable Automated End of Period Processing in Eaglesoft and set the end time to 12:00 AM.
