How do I save commonly used phrases to use in messaging?

Overview

Create a saved response

Saved responses are shortcuts for patient messages. Create a custom library to answer FAQs, maintain your brand, and reduce typos–-freeing up time spent writing the same messages over and over.

1. Go to Gear → Settings → Messages.

Use the gear icon at the top right to go to Settings, then select Messages from the left sidebar.

2. Select +New or + New saved response.

Select +New or + New saved response if this is your first saved message.

3. Give the message a Title.

4. Type the Body of the message.

5. Check-mark any additional locations.

Choose additional locations that can use this message (if desired). You can include some Smart Commands in your saved responses (see image below).

6. Click Save.

Smart commands available in Saved Messages: Patient's full name, last name, first name, and email address as well as your location's phone number, address, and online booking link.

Edit a saved response

Edit saved responses which you’ve already created.

1. Click the pencil Edit button.

The button is located to the right of the saved response.

2. Edit the saved response, then Save.

Edit the title, body, and locations.

Delete saved responses with the trash can icon.

Use a saved response

1. Open a message.

From the text message composer, choose the patient you wish to message.

2. Select the lightning bolt.

This opens the saved responses menu.

3. Choose the response from the list, or search by response name.

You can also click on +Create new to create and save a new Saved response.

4 . Edit the response to better fit the patient conversation if needed.

If no edits are needed, you can simply click the paper airplane Send button next to the response name.

5. Click Send
