How do I use two-factor authentication (2FA) with NexHealth?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your NexHealth login. 2FA is required to use NexHealth.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) keeps your NexHealth account and patient data secure. This article explains how 2FA works, how to set it up, and what you can customize.

2FA is required for all NexHealth users

2FA cannot be disabled. It is a mandatory requirement for NexHealth's security and compliance certifications and applies to every user across all NexHealth products. If a staff member cannot access their 2FA code — for example, the code is going to a coworker who is unavailable — contact NexHealth support for one-time assistance.

Set up 2FA

1. Access account settings

Click your Profile icon in the top right of the NexHealth home page, then select Account settings.

2. Open two-step authentication settings

Scroll to Two-step authentication at the bottom of your profile settings and click Manage.

3. Select your delivery method

Choose either your email address or mobile phone number to receive your verification code.

4. Send and enter the verification code

Click Send verification code. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your chosen email or phone to finish setup.

Log in using 2FA

Each time you log in to NexHealth, you'll be prompted to verify your identity.

1. Send the code

Click Send verification code to send the code to your email or phone.

2. Enter the code

Enter the 6-digit code to complete login.

Update your phone number for 2FA

Keep your phone number up to date so you always receive your verification code.

1. Access account settings

Click your Profile icon and select Account settings.

2. Edit your phone number

Scroll to Mobile phone number and click Edit.

3. Verify the new number

Enter the new number and follow the verification prompts.

Switch between SMS and email 2FA

You can change your 2FA delivery method at any time.

1. Access account settings

Click your Profile icon and select Account settings.

2. Open two-step authentication settings

Scroll to Two-step authentication and click Manage.

3. Select email and verify

Choose the email option and enter the verification code sent to your email.

4. Save your settings

Click Save to finalize the switch.
