How do I resolve sync statuses in Needs syncing?

In most instances, completed transactions will automatically sync to the appropriate patient ledgers. Exceptions appear in Needs syncing.

Mark as posted

If someone has been issued a refund or the transaction is an insurance payment, you will need to Mark as posted.

When you select Mark as posted, you’ll be prompted to confirm that the transaction has been manually added to the appropriate patient’s ledger.

Automatic syncing for refunds and insurance payments is coming soon.

Sync now

Resolve Sync now

If you have turned off Auto-sync completed payments in Settings (which is not recommended), Sync now will appear. Click the button to sync the transaction to your ledger.

Auto-sync completed payments

To toggle on Auto-sync completed payments, go to Payments → Settings → Auto-sync completed payments.

Allocate and sync

If a payment has been made by a patient, but it is not yet tied to specific procedures for that patient, you’ll be prompted to Allocate and sync as outlined in the Custom payments article.

Assign and sync

This typically shows up when patients pay online and there isn't a clearly-matching person in your EHR. If we need you to confirm the correct patient to sync this payment record to, Assign and sync will appear.

1. Click Assign and sync

Click Assign and sync, and you'll see the payment details.

2. Find the patient to assign to

You can then search for and select another patient. The details for the patient will be displayed once selected.

3. Click Continue

Click Continue to complete the sync process.

Syncing

If a sync is currently in progress, you'll see a condition that tells you it's currently Syncing. No action is needed.

Sync failed

If a completed payment sync error ever occurs (for example, due to an outage with your health record system), you will see the Payment here with a Sync failed button. Click the button to re-attempt the transaction sync. Once the payment successfully syncs, the transaction will disappear from the Needs syncing tab.
