Cancel a single slot or a whole waitlist request when you no longer want patients to book it. When you send a waitlist request with multiple slots, patients can book any slot within the request.

Cancel after filling a slot manually
If an open slot is filled manually after the waitlist request is sent out, you don't need to cancel the waitlist request:
Once the filled appointment has synced to NexHealth, a patient who tries to claim the waitlist slot is told it has already been claimed and no extra appointment is inserted.
If a patient claims the waitlist slot before the filled appointment has synced, NexHealth flags the new appointment in the Activity feed — contact the patient who accepted the slot to reschedule.
You can still cancel the slot or the request at any time. Patients who try to book a canceled slot see a message that it is no longer available.
Cancel a single slot
Cancel one of the available slots while leaving the rest of the times available.
1. Go to Waitlist → Active Requests.
Navigate to the Waitlist in the left sidebar, and select Active Requests.
2. Find the request and slot to cancel.
Find the request in the list and identify the slot you would like to cancel.
3. Click the Cancel icon to the right.
Select the gray Cancel icon to the right of the slot.
Note: If a patient selects a time that has been canceled, they will see a message that the slot is no longer available.
Cancel all slots in a request
Cancel all of the available slots.
1. Go to Waitlist → Active Requests.
Navigate to the Waitlist in the left sidebar, and select Active Requests.
2. Find the request to cancel.
Find the request you would like to cancel.
3. Click Cancel request.
The button is in the top right of the active request.
Note: If a patient tries to book a time from that request, they will see a message that it is no longer available.
Note: If a patient accepts a waitlist slot and then shortly cancels it, you must create a whole new waitlist request. It is not possible to edit the original request and make the slot available again.
