When you send a waitlist request with multiple slots, patients can book any slot within the request. If you don’t want those slots to be booked anymore you can cancel specific availability within the request.
For use with NexHealth Scheduling
Overview
Cancel a single slot
Cancel one of the available slots while leaving the rest of the times available.
If an open slot is filled manually after the waitlist request is sent out, you must cancel the waitlist request, because it is still available in the active request. If a patient claims the slot, NexHealth will provide an alert in the Activity feed that a patient has accepted the slot, but it could not be inserted into your schedule. You will then need to contact the patient who accepted the waitlist slot to reschedule.
1. Go to Waitlist → Active Requests.
Navigate to the Waitlist in the left sidebar, and select Active Requests.
2. Find the request and slot to cancel.
Find the request in the list and identify the slot you would like to cancel.
3. Click the Cancel icon to the right.
Select the gray Cancel icon to the right of the slot.
If a patient selects a time that has been canceled, they will see a message that the slot is no longer available.
Cancel all slots in a request
Cancel all of the available slots.
1. Go to Waitlist → Active Requests.
Navigate to the Waitlist in the left sidebar, and select Active Requests.
2. Find the request to cancel.
Find the request you would like to cancel.
3. Click Cancel request.
The button is in the top right of the active request.
If a patient tries to book a time from that request, they will see a message that it is no longer available.
If a patient accepts a waitlist slot and then shortly cancels it, you must create a whole new waitlist request. It is not possible to edit the original request and make the slot available again.
