Navigate to the gear icon and select Analytics. You can gather insights about how your practice is performing and using NexHealth through two different approaches.
View in-platform analytics
You can view analytics directly within NexHealth by switching between the tabs at the top of the Analytics page:
Appointments (Booked in office / online and status)
Reminders (Reminders Sent / Reminders Confirmed)
Patients (New / Active / Inactive)
Patient Satisfaction (Total Reviews / Avg Review Score)
Recall Messages (Emails / SMS)
Cancellation Follow-ups (Emails / SMS)
No Show Follow-ups (Email / SMS)
1. To access in platform Analytics, navigate to the gear icon in the upper right corner.
2. Select Analytics.
3. Create a data export that includes data tables from different areas of the platform.
OR
4. Choose any of the other tabs (Appointments, Reminders, Patients, Patient Satisfaction, Recall, Cancelled Follow-Upa, No-Show Follow-Ups) to view data specific to that area.
5. Adjust the date range by clicking the This week tab.
6. Click on the CSV download button to view the selected data.
7. Scroll right to view all the fields.
8. Click on the CSV button to download the file as a CSV.
Export advanced analytics
You can select from more than 120 data fields to create custom data exports. To export NexHealth data:
1. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of NexHealth.
2. Select Analytics.
3. By default, you are on the Export data tab.
4. Click on Create data export.
5. Select the Locations you’d like to export from. This is a multi-select list–you can add as many locations as you wish.
6. Choose the Table. This determines which data will appear on your report. For definitions, see Downloadable data sets below.
7. Select the Time frame and how you would like that time filtered, ex: created/updated during.
8. Generate a preview first to ensure the data you need will appear on your report.
a. If the data looks right, choose Generate export.
b. If you need to make changes, select New data export and return to step 2.
9. A link to download a CSV file will be sent to the email associated with your NexHealth user. You can then upload the CSV to your analytics tool of choice.
*Note: Exports can take up to 30 minutes to arrive depending on the size of the data set.
Answer questions with data
Downloading data can help answer questions about your practice such as:
1. What’s the value of Reminders?
2. Does the timing of sending a Reminder impact no-show rates?
Should I adjust my reminder cadence?
3. What are basic trends in Appointments MoM?
4. How many appointments have been booked online?
When are they being scheduled?
What is the no-show rate for appointments scheduled online?
How does this compare Location-by-location? If there are differences, is booking
Is it set up correctly?
only available for some locations?
5. How many people are unsubscribed from communications?
6. For any period of time, and/or by location or all locations:
Total appointments
Total appointments booked via NexHealth (vs not)
Total appointments
Total appointments by appointment type
Show rate
Show rate by confirmation status
Cancel rate
Cancel rate by confirmation status
Missed appointment rate
Missed appointment rate by confirmation status
New patient bookings
7. For any period of time, and/or by location or all locations:
Total money processed through NexHealth
Total money by method (online widget vs payment request vs manual payment vs charge card on file)
Sync timestamp (for ledger sync users)
Whether a specific user has made payments (if joined with the Patient table)
8. Pull patient information by insurance carriers
