Set up out-of-office replies
Out-of-office replies are sent automatically to patients who send you an SMS message outside of your designated service hours so patients know when you’ll be back.
The out-of-office reply is limited to sending once every 30 minutes to reduce repetition during patient conversations outside working hours.
1. Go to Gear → Settings → Messages.
2. Toggle on Out-of-office reply.
In the Out-of-office reply box, toggle on Automatically reply to inbound messages outside your service hours.
3. Edit your Service hours.
If you would like out-of-office replies to automatically be sent to patients who text outside of regular business hours, click Edit to set your Service hours.
4. Edit your Auto-reply message.
Click Edit if you would like to change the default auto-reply message. Click Save when finished editing.
5. Add custom dates with + Add custom date.
If you would like out-of-office replies to automatically be sent to patients who text during specified days, like holidays or vacations, click +Add custom date to set custom dates.
