Activate templates
Every template in NexHealth has the same basic functions: an Action (the gray tile at the top of the sequence) which triggers the sequence to send, and then Email and SMS messages (the purple tiles), which you can customize. This ensures your automated messages are sent at the right times for each patient.
A green dot to the left of the template indicates that the template is active.
Read this article to review what triggers each NexHealth template to send.
Navigate to NexHealth Home
Click Templates.
Click on the template you'd like to activate.
Flip the toggle on.
Click YES, ACTIVATE IT! when prompted.
Your template will start automatically sending.
NexHealth templates have been thoughtfully designed and tested for effective communication, but should you choose to customize them, it is easy to do so.
Edit your templates
1. To edit the trigger, or action, click on the pencil icon to the right of the gray Next action tile.
2. To edit the Email message, click on the pencil to the right of the purple tile.
3. In the template editor you can edit the text, add images, or adjust the Smart Commands.

โ4. Click Preview to see how the message will appear to patients.
5. Click Send test to send a message to your email or mobile device.
*Note: Send test is not available for the Reviews template - it must be connected to an actual appointment to send.
6. Click Save and exit to save changes and return to the editor.
Customize template sending times
To change the time patients receive automated messages like appointment Reminders or Reviews:
1. Navigate to the gear icon, and select Settings.
2. Select Template configurations.
3. Click in the time boxes to adjust your sending hours, then click Save.
Automated templates will be sent during the selected hours. *Note: If you have Reminders configured to send shortly before an appointment (for example, two hours before), Reminders will only be sent within the designated time period. (e.g. if your sending hours are 6 AM to 10 PM, and you have a sequence designed to send two hours before the appointment, the first appointment time that would receive the reminder is 8 AM. Earlier appointments will not receive the two-hour reminder.)
