Regardless of whether you want to collect from the NexHealth credit card terminal, charge a saved payment method (or add a new one), or send a payment request to a patient who has left the office, everything starts from the Collect Payment screen.
There are several ways to reach this page:
From the patient search bar at the top of NexHealth - Click the $ button next to any patient
From the patient sidebar - From the Actions menu in the top right corner, select Collect payment
From the homepage "Today's Appointments" view - Click the $ button in the patient's appointment row
From the Payments page - Click the "Collect payment" button in the top right corner
LEDGER SYNC ONLY: From the Payments "Not Requested" tab - Click the $ button next to any displayed family
Once you've reached the Collect Payment screen, you must specify how much you wish to collect from the patient.
Non-Ledger Sync users are prompted to enter an Amount and Reason (and an optional Appointment Date)
βLedger Sync users see all ledger items with open unpaid balances for the selected patient. They can select any subset of the displayed ledger items, and/or enter a "Custom Amount" for collection. If you collect a "Custom Amount," you will be prompted to "Allocate & Sync" before the transaction syncs to your patient ledger.
