Out-of-office replies are sent automatically to patients who send you an SMS message outside of your designated service hours so patients know when you’ll be back.
These messages can be customized and automated for holidays, vacations, and regular office hours.
Set up out-of-office replies
1. Navigate to the gear icon in the top right, and select Settings.
2. Click on Messages in the left side menu.
2. In the Out-of-office reply box, toggle on Automatically reply to inbound messages outside your service hours.
3. If you would like out-of-office replies to automatically be sent to patients who text outside of regular business hours, click Edit to set your Service hours.
4. Click Edit if you would like to change the default auto-reply message. Click Save when finished editing.
5. If you would like out-of-office replies to automatically be sent to patients who text during specified days, like holidays or vacations, click +Add custom date to set custom dates.
