View in-platform analytics
You can gather insights about how your practice is performing and using NexHealth through two different approaches.
1. Go to Gear icon → Analytics.
2. Switch between tabs to see different sets of data.
You can view analytics directly within NexHealth by switching between the tabs at the top of the Analytics page:
Appointments (Booked in office / online and status)
Reminders (Reminders Sent / Reminders Confirmed)
Patients (New / Active / Inactive)
Patient Satisfaction (Total Reviews / Avg Review Score)
Recall Messages (Emails / SMS)
Cancelled Follow-ups (Emails / SMS)
No-Show Follow-ups (Email / SMS)
3. Use the Week dropdown menu to select a time frame.
Use the dropdown menu (defaulting to the past 7 days) to adjust the reporting period. You can select past dates, future dates (like tomorrow or next week), or a custom date range - useful for pulling upcoming appointments for the next day or upcoming week.
4. Click CSV, then CSV again, to download a CSV.
Click the CSV button twice to download spreadsheet data from the currently selected tab. For example, on the Appointments tab, the CSV will contain the list of appointments for the time frame you selected.
Common questions you can answer with data
Downloading data can help answer questions about your practice such as:
What’s the value of Reminders?
Does the timing of sending a Reminder impact no-show rates?
Should I adjust my reminder cadence?
What are basic trends in Appointments month-over-month?
How many appointments have been booked online?
When are they being scheduled?
What is the no-show rate for appointments scheduled online?
How does this compare location-by-location? If there are differences, is booking…

How many people are unsubscribed from communications?
For any period of time, and/or by location or all locations, how many of each of the following does the practice have?
Total appointments
Total appointments booked via NexHealth (vs not)

Missed appointment rate by confirmation status
New patient bookings
For any period of time, and/or by location or all locations:
What is the total money processed through NexHealth?
What’s the total money by method (online widget vs payment request vs manual payment vs charge card on file)?
What are the sync timestamps (for ledger sync users)?
Has a specific user has made payments (if joined with the Patient table)?
Can I see patient information by insurance carriers?

FAQ
Can I download a list of appointments for a specific day (like tomorrow)?
Yes. Go to Gear icon → Analytics, select the Appointments tab, and use the time frame dropdown to select the specific date or date range you need (including future dates like tomorrow). Then click the CSV button twice to download the list. For a more detailed export with additional fields (provider ID, operatory, confirmation status, etc.), use the Export data tab instead and select the Appointments table with your desired time frame.
Can I download future appointments, or only past ones?
Both. The time frame selector defaults to the past 7 days, but you can change it to include any past or future date range.
What's the difference between the Appointments tab and the Export data tab?
The Appointments tab shows a quick visual summary and lets you download a basic CSV. The Export data tab is for more detailed custom exports with additional fields and filter options. Use Export data when you need fields like provider ID, operatory, confirmation timestamps, or check-in/check-out times.
