How do I sync NexHealth with my health record system?

This is a list of the health record systems that NexHealth syncs with today. Find the health record system your practice uses below to learn how to prepare to sync NexHealth to your system.

athenahealth

To sync with athenahealth’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Athena username and password for an account that will only be used by NexHealth with access to “Admin” role/position
After NexHealth Install Engineer confirms NexHealth sync is complete, download the NexHealth AthenaHealth Chrome Extension on each computer. This takes about 2 minutes per computer. See Chrome Extension Instructions for details.

CareCloud

To sync with CareCloud’s cloud-based health record system, we require the following items:

  1. CareCloud username and password with admin rights (can be an existing user or a new username just for NexHealth)

Curve Dental

To sync with Curve Dental’s cloud-based health record system, we require the following items:

  1.  Your unique URL to your Curve Dental account, which looks something like this: www.yourpracticenamehere.curvehero.com
  2. Curve Dental username and password with admin rights (can be an existing user or a new username just for NexHealth)
After submitting the installation request, you need to install the NexHealth Curve Chrome Extension on each workstation. See Chrome Extension Instructions for details.

Denticon

To sync with Denticon’s cloud-based health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Denticon username and password for a dedicated NexHealth account with Admin Group access.
After submitting the installation request, you need to install the NexHealth Denticon Chrome Extension on each workstation. See Chrome Extension Instructions for details.

Dentrix

To sync with Dentrix’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Dentrix username and password with admin rights or logged in at the time of installation
  2. Remote access to the server where Dentrix is installed
  3. Ensure your Dentrix is on version G6.2 or greater
  4. The user logged into the server at the time of the installation must be a Windows admin

Dentrix Ascend

To sync with Dentrix Ascend’s cloud-based health record system, we require the following items:

  1.  Unique URL to your Dentrix Ascend account, which looks something like this: https://live.dentrixascend.com/login or live2.dentrixascend.com
  2. Dentrix Ascend organization alias
  3. New Dentrix Ascend username and password with Admin role. This must be a new account/username to your Dentrix Ascend, or an account/username that is currently not in use.
After submitting the installation request, you need to install the NexHealth Dentrix Ascend Chrome Extension on each workstation. See Chrome Extension Instructions for details.

DentalVision

To sync with DentalVision’s cloud-based health record system, we require the following items:

  1. DentalVision username and password with admin rights (can be an existing user or a new username just for NexHealth)
  2. The user logged into the server at the time of the installation must be a Windows admin

Dentrix Enterprise

To sync with Dentrix Enterprise’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Dentrix username and password with admin rights or logged in at the time of installation
  2. Remote access to the server where Dentrix database server is installed
  3. Ensure your Dentrix Enterprise is version 11 or greater
  4. The user logged into the server for the installation must be a Windows admin

Dolphin

To sync with Dolphin’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

 
  1. Dolphin username and password with admin rights
  2. Remote access to the server where Dolphin database server is installed
  3. Ensure your Dolphin version 11.9 or greater
  4. The user logged into the server for the installation must be a Windows admin
  5. If using patient scheduling: Name of appointment type to use for scheduling
  6. List of inactive patient statuses

drChrono

To sync with Dolphin’s cloud health record system, we require the following items:

 
  1. drChrono username and password for an account that will only be used by NexHealth with explicit access to the following lists:
    1. Access to Providers via: Practice Settings → Staff Members
    2. Access to Locations via: Practice Settings → Offices
    3. Access to Patients via: Reports → Practice Reports → Patient Reports
  2. Two-factor authentication on drChrono must be disabled
  3. List of all offices you would like to sync

Eaglesoft

To sync with Eaglesoft’s cloud health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Eaglesoft username and password with admin rights or logged in at the time of installation
  2. Remote access to the server where Eaglesoft is installed
  3. Ensure your Eaglesoft version is 17 or greater
  4. The user logged into the server for the installation must be a Windows admin

eClinicalWorks

To sync with eClinicalWorks’ cloud health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Unique URL to your eClinicalWorks account, which looks something like this: https://yourpracticenamehere.eclinicalweb.com
  2. eClinicalWorks username and password for a staff account that will only be used by NexHealth with explicit access to the following area:
    1. Menu ⇒ Patient ⇒ Lookup to search and select patients to view their details in Patient Hub
    2. These items can be found in Menu > Security Settings > By Security Attribute
      1. Create New Patient
      2. Delete Appointment
  3. List of all offices that the customer would like to include in their sync
  4. In eClinicalWorks, navigate to Menu > File > Authentication Settings and ensure Enforce eCW URL Launcher for Login is false. If the URL is not available, reach out to your onboarding manager.
After submitting the installation request, please download the NexHealth eCW Chrome Extension on each computer. See Chrome Extension Instructions for details.

eClinicalWorks (on-premise)

To sync with eClinicalWorks’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1.  eClinicalWorks username and password for a staff account that will only be used by NexHealth with explicit access to the following area:
    1. Menu ⇒ Patient ⇒ Lookup to search and select patients to view their details in Patient Hub
    2. These items can be found in Menu > Security Settings > By Security Attribute
      1. Create New Patient
      2. Delete Appointment
  2. List of all offices that the customer would like to include in their sync

MdLand

To sync with MdLand’s cloud health record system, we require the following items:

  1.  MdLand username and password with admin rights (can be an existing user or a new username just for NexHealth)
  2. We require a user with an email address formatted as followed:support+”YOURaccountname”@nexhealth.com

Open Dental

To sync with Open Dental’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1. New Open Dental username and password with admin rights or logged in at the time of installation
  2. Remote access to the server where Open Dental is installed
  3. Ensure your Open Dental is on version 16.3 or greater
  4. If the database is password protected we need the username and password
  5. The user logged into the server for the installation must be a Windows admin

Orthotrac

To sync with Orthotrac’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1.  Orthotrac username and password with admin rights
  2. Remote access to the server where the Orthotrac database is installed
  3. Ensure your Orthotrac version 12 or greater
  4. If using patient scheduling: Name of appointment type to use for scheduling
  5. The user logged into the server at the time of the installation must be a Windows admin

Practiceworks by CareStream Dental

To sync with Practicework’s on-premise health record system, we require the following items:

  1. Practiceworks username and password with admin rights (can be an existing user or a new username just for NexHealth)
  2. Remote access to the server where the Practiceworks database is located
  3. The user logged into the server at the time of the installation must be a Windows admin
  4. If using patient scheduling: Name of appointment type to use for scheduling
